Women's Discipleship Groups

Jesus commands us to make disciples (Matt 28:18-20). Peter tells us that we should be using our gifts to invest in one another (1 Pet 4:10). Paul and Timothy give us the example of teaching faithful disciples who will be able to teach others also (2 Tim 2:2). The Bible is full of encouragement to “confess your sins to one another” (James 5:16), to “be devoted to one another in love” (Romans 12:10), and to “comfort one another” (1 Thess 4:18). All of this reminds us – being involved in one another’s lives is not an option for the Christian.

Discipleship is a necessary element of our lives and ministry to one another, and our Women’s Discipleship Groups provide a context for that to take place.

James' Gems:

James' Gems ministry to widows:  James 1:27 instructs the church to care for its widows and orphans, and we take that seriously.  The Gems is a ministry that brings our widows together for fellowship and support, via regular activities, events, and lunches throughout the year.  Please contact Lynn Penner, (928) 778-2550, for more information about our widows' ministry.
