The mission of Canyon Bible Church of Prescott is to go out and make disciples of all nations through evangelism and to subsequently teach those who have been converted and baptized how to obey all that Christ has commanded. We didn't chose this mission; God gave it to us (and every believer) in his Word.

A disciple of Christ is a learner and a follower. We take seriously what the Scriptures teach as we follow Christ. After His death and resurrection, Jesus gave His disciples a commission. He commanded each of his followers to go out and make more disciples (Matt 28:16-20). We take that command from the Lord seriously. This command tells the Christian church 2,000 years ago and today where we are to focus our efforts.

Succinctly stated, we're called to make disciples who make disciples. That's what we're here for. That's our prayer for our church. That's what we strive to accomplish.

The spread of the gospel of the glory of God is the central goal that is weaved through the pages of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation. Isaiah says, “Make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted” (Isa 12:4) and Paul said that his goal in ministry was “to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of [Christ’s] name among all the nations” (Rom 1:5). As a church, our equipping of the saints, our local outreach and our global missions are all aimed at the same purpose: to spread the glory of God to the nations and bring worshippers from every tribe and tongue gathered around the throne (Rev 7:9).
