The Give Your Life Away podcast is designed to be a resource of devotional thoughts for believers to help you ascribe greater glory to Jesus Christ as you give your life away. In Mark 10:45, Jesus called his disciples to do just that when he said, "Even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Jesus came to give his life away, and he expects that his followers will live like he did, giving our lives away for the sake of Christ, his church, and the lost.
He expects that we will give our life away to Him, growing in personal holiness as we strive to be more like him. That is why Romans 12 describes the Christian life of worship as a living sacrifice. We give our life away to Jesus to bring him glory and deepen our joy.
He also expects that we will give our life away to the lost. You can see this in the great commission in Matthew 28 when Jesus final words to his disciples was a charge to go and make disciples of all nations. A believer ought to be living with a constant concern for others to turn from their sin, believe the gospel, and be saved.
He expects that we will give our life away for his church. Once we've come to Christ, we are called to meet one anothers needs in the body. We've been given spiritual gifts in order to edify one another (Romans 14). Every believer is called to be a part of, invest in, and benefit from the ministry of the church.
Jesus gave his life away for us, and he expects us to give our lives away for him, for his church, and for the lost.
In 2018, this podcast will be focused on the Epistle Project as the people of Canyon Prescott read through the New Testament Epistles together. For more details on The Epistle Project, you can see (insert page link here to epistle project). Our prayer is that the Holy Spirit will allow his word to feed your soul through this podcast, and that as a result, you would ascribe greater glory to Jesus Christ as you give your life away for him, for his church, and for the lost.
